Measurements

When measuring your child, please ensure they stand upright, without shoes, and with their back and heels flat against a wall. Use a soft tape measure and measure in cm.
 
 

Height:

Measure your child with their back flat against a wall and without shoes. Measure from the top of their head to the floor.
 
 

Chest:

Measure under the arms and at the fullest part of the chest.
 
 

Waist:

Measure around the natural waist. This is where the waist creases when your child bends to the side. 

 

Hip:

Measure around the fullest part of the bottom.
 
 

Inside Leg:

Have your child stand with their legs shoulder-width apart. Measure from the crotch to the floor.
 
 

Hats:

Children's head sizes vary so much that we recommend buying hats based on head circumference rather than age. We know that our hats are often bought as gifts, so please see the table above as an approximate guideline.
