| It all started when award-winning knitwear designer Zoe Mellor moved from London to Brighton. | Zoe had her first baby and the company Toby Tiger (named after her son) was born! |

| Zoe opened her first small shop in Brighton selling T-shirts with the early Toby Tiger print and appliqués for babies and children. | Zoe started selling to different retailers and coming up with new colorful designs. |

Zoe's second baby was born and like all parents who like to move house after having a baby, she also moved Toby Tiger to the new, larger store on Gardner Street in Brighton - where we can still be found today! |
After six months of construction, a leaky roof and a resident pigeon, the store was finally able to open. |

Toby Tiger was in demand by small and larger shops and the brand grew. Zoe's love and commitment to using organic cotton in bright colors was born - there was no one else making colorful organic children's clothes... we were the first! |
The store as a storage space for our products grew out of control, and the boxes moved into Zoe's kitchen, apartment, office and studio. |

We moved our growing collection to our warehouse in Lancing. This beautiful new warehouse meant that the Toby Tiger offices had more space and that Zoe's house was no longer used as a warehouse, much to the delight of her family. |
Zoe opened the German sister company in Berlin so that Toby Tiger can continue to be sold to our fabulous European stockists. |

Toby Tiger's German warehouse and office opens. Zoe has moved to Berlin to set up our German office and warehouse, from where we are happy to sell to all our EU distributors! |
Zoe lives mainly in Berlin and loves a good team chat with her small, brilliant Toby Tiger team in the UK, spreading the Toby Tiger spirit while the seagulls caw in the background.... |
